First please allow me to apologize for not posting an update last week.  I've spent the past week fighting a rather nasty sinus infection and I'll spare you the details about that.  Unfortunately I also had a group presentation Thursday evening but I think it went well all things considered.

We have a busy week this week.  Tomorrow evening we have a final exam for our IT course then Thursday we have the second of two Industry Practicum in-class sessions.  This past week I received approval for my Industry Practicum proposal.  I will be developing a business plan for Gell Motors a family owned and operated auto repair company in Wilmington, NC.  They are BMW, Audi, Volvo, and Volkswagen specialists which happens to be a hobby of mine in the rare event that I'm not working, at school, working on school work, or spending time with my family.

Thursday evening after our Industry Practicum I believe that the MBAA has the monthly social planned for bowling which is always a good time.  Then Friday some members are planning on going on the Haunted Pub Crawl downtown and Saturday we have our first quarterly Adopt-a-Highway cleanup on College Road.  A few days later my daughter will turn six and I've been nominated for the party planning committee.  Then next week we start two new classes that will take us through the end of the fall semester.

Last weekend Hal and I attended the annual student organization leadership seminar on campus.  Aside from feeling really old we were able to pick up a few ideas as to how we can improve the MBAA now and pass it off to future classes in such a way that they can build on what we have established.  I'm optimistic about what we can accomplish between now and May 2012.  At the same time I kinda wish it was May already. . .

Here is a group photo from the class of 2012 halfway party.  Good times.
